Maybelline MasterPrecise Ink Pen Eyeliner – First Impressions
Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner …you in trouble, gurl.
I’ve been a fan of Stila’s take on the eyeliner pen for months, but I’m not a fan of the price. I still LOVE this product, don’t get me wrong- but shelling out $20 for a new one every month is starting to take it’s toll on my ever shrinking wallet. Which is why I couldn’t wait to try out the Maybelline version when I started seeing it in some of my favorite guru’s videos. Trying this eyeliner was no easy feat tho – it was super hard to find since nearly every drugstore in my area has been constantly sold out. Which was my first sign this is a must-have product.
This liner retails for about $7.99 each – though I picked up two thanks to Walgreen’s buy one, get one 50% off sale. That’s what I love most about drugstore products, you can almost always find them on sale. I rarely pay full price for this kinda stuff – I mean REALLY, who pays retail these days, darling.
Though the tube is roughly the same size as similar eyeliner pens, it holds about 0.037 oz, more than twice the product other brands do.
Now for the good stuff – this is by far the finest tip I’ve ever seen. At 0.4mm, it draws some of the thinnest lines imaginable. I’ve been playing with this all night, and so far I’ve created some super sharp cat eyes and perfectly winged liner. I also managed to draw all over my hand, then smear black ink all over my cheek because I tried to wipe my face before the liquid dried. It looks pretty sexy. Except not.
So far I really like what I see, but the true test will come tomorrow when I test drive this during a long day at work. I’m thinking I’ll make a video once I’m ready to do the full review, so stay tuned!

Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Flared Mascara Reveiw
I’ve been a fan of Maybelline’s The Falsies Volum’ Express mascara since it came out last summer, so when I heard they made it even better I was giddy with delight. Well, maybe not giddy but at least reasonably excited. So I’ve been using this latest incarnation of The Falsies for a few weeks now and all in all, I’m not any more impressed than I am with the original.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good mascara, it just doesn’t offer anything better than the original version does. The length and volume are still great, which is no surprise considering it’s pretty much the same formula used in The Falsies. The only difference between the two is the brush, which is slightly more flared out than that of the original.
This is the original Falsies brush, which is flatter than most other mascara wands thus helping better distribute the mascara through the entire lash.
This is the Falsies Flared brush. It’s larger, with a more pronounced curve and a larger taper at the end which is supposed to flare out the lashes in the outer corner, thus giving the appearance of false lashes. At least that’s what it’s supposed to do, but I really didn’t notice a huge difference compared to the original wand. And my lashes, while full and voluminous look nowhere close to fake.
This is still a great buy if you’re looking for length and volume for under $7. If you’re looking for something that will give the appearance of fake lashes however, I suggest, just wearing fake lashes.
Final Verdict: Still love it, but your lashes won’t look fake.

Review: Maybelline FITme Concealer
This concealer situation has got me all in a tizzy. Maybelline for some reason discontinued my beloved Dream Matte Mousse Concealer, only to bring out this abomination in it’s stead. Check out my review below, then save yourself some money and find another brand like I will be doing. Kicking and screaming of course =)
Final Verdict: HATED IT!

Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Liner
I picked this up at Ulta the other day when they had the nerve to be out of L’Oreal Carbon Black liquid liner the same day I ran out. I’m secretly a little glad however as I have found my new favorite liquid liner!
I never thought to try this product before as I’ve never really been a fan of it’s sibling, the Stiletto Lash mascara. It’s decent, but nothing to write home about so I assumed the same was true of it’s eyeliner counterpart. But from the easy application to the quality you get for the price – it’s actually pretty fabulous!
The Good- The felt tip applicator glides across the lashline with ease and doesn’t skip, ensuring a sleek, smooth line every time. And the short wand makes it much easier to control, making this the perfect eyeliner for those just starting out with make-up. If you’re trying to achieve the perfect winged liner – even better. The fine point makes building a perfectly angled wing super easy. And at about $6 it’s a few dollars cheaper than other drugstore liquid liners.
The bad- The only thing I don’t really like about this liner is the finish is a little too glossy for my taste. I prefer a more velvety look, so I just go over the top with a quick swipe of black gel liner and viola-perfect!
Final Verdict: Love it!
Price: About $6
