Ultra Fabulous Haul – Coach, Betsey Johnson, Roxy & More!

I’m tax refund rich, ya’ll!

Ok, maybe not “rich,” per-say, but doing well enough to buy a few fun little extras this month and still have enough for rent, bills and all my other less than awesome expenses. I originally planned on allowing myself just one indulgence – the gorgeous Coach bag seen in the video – but it somehow turned into a landslide of handbags and bling. I personally blame the people at DSW, Hautelook and Ulta for having so many irresistible sales on things I just can’t say no to. Did they really expect me to walk away from an ivory Betsey Johnson tote and not buy it? I’m only human, people!

Since I’m sure you’re all dying to get some of these items yourselves, I’ll post all the links and information you need below. And if anyone gives you any grief over your recent shopping indiscretions, just tell em’ Jackie made you do it. I’m more than willing to take the blame if it means the world will be a more fabulous place ;)

Betsey Johnson Classy Quilted Tote

I’ve been looking for the perfect metallic tote for ages and my search finally came to an end when I found this gold Betsey Johnson piece on Hautelook. It has everything I look for in a bag – it’s metallic, detailed and big enough to fit all my crap. Originally priced at $248, most discount online retailers are selling it for about $165, so I was thrilled to find it for – get this – $110.

The gold metallic hue of this bag is glamorous, while the gold chain straps are a modern twist on a very 90s style. The back zipper detail is what makes this tote truly amazing, however. The two interlinked chains connecting the zippers make for a unique look I’ve never seen on a bag before. I can’t say I’m surprised though; one of the reasons I love Betsey Johnson pieces so much is her style is fun and one of a kind.

I love how the quilting is obvious, yet delicate. This gives a quilted look that’s not too severely 90s. And yes, there is such thing as severely 90s. I’ve seen a lot of quilted bags around lately that look so 90s they may as well come with a neon slap bracelet and a Color Me Badd tape.

When I pay good money for a Betsey Johnson bag, I wanna KNOW I have a Betsey Johnson bag. Which is why I love the details throughout, such as the nameplates and the heart charm adorning the inner zipper. They add a nice touch, plus I love that she makes a bag so fabulous she’s proud to stamp her name all over it.

In perhaps the least shocking revelation ever, I just so happen to have tons of accessories to match my new bag. It goes perfectly with my Urban Decay Midnight Cowgirl makeup bag and looks amazing paired with my new Bucco wedges. I’m not too worried about everything matching, however. Something this flashy is best paired with dark denim and a basic black tea, or even white jeans and a sexy black top. Oooooh, or a little black dress. Ok, I need to go shop my closet for tomorrow’s outfit…

Fabulous Bag, Fabulous Price.

The only thing I love more than a fabulous bag is a fabulous bag at a great price. I was at OffBroadway this evening and spotted this BigBuddah JReo bag on my way out of the store. I was five seconds away from leaving without spending any money, but this Missoni-like pattern caught my eye and wouldn’t let go. The bag originally retailed for $90, but OffBrodway was selling it for $69.90. That’s still way more than I wanted to spend, but luckily I had all my register rewards coupons with me and by the time I redeemed them all I ended up getting the bag for get this – $24.49!

I love everything about this bag – it’s classy and big enough to fit the abundance of stuff I carry with me every day. And I love the pattern, which is basically Missoni style without the Missoni price. Oh, and it’s shiny. That always helps too =)

At first I couldn’t figure out what all the extra hooks were for, so I looked up the bag on the BigBuddah website and whaddaya know, it’s a two-fer! With a few minor adjustments it turns into a shoulder bag that’s big enough to double as a weekender.

Suffice it to say, this was a steal! I can’t wait to wear this bag out tomorrow with my new Steve Madden wedges =)

Pink Sequins Make Me Happy.

I found this bag by Urban Expressions on Hautelook a few weeks ago and just couldn’t resist picking it up. Though its way too small for my every day needs considering I carry everything I own with me, I thought it would be perfect as a makeup bag. Yes, I said makeup bag. Leave it to me to use an ultra glam bag as something to store my makeup in, only to place it inside an even larger glamorous bag.

I paid $23 for this, and it was worth every penny. Between the rich fuchsia color and ultra shiny sequins it was love at first site.

While I love the bag, I hate the chain strap so I took it off. It kinda reminded me of the bags Hilary Banks used to sport on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Don’t get me wrong, it was cute in 1991, but in 2011 not so much.

I love how satiny the inside of the bag is. It’s perfect for carrying lipglosses, mascara and maybe even a few brushes.

I love this little pocket in the back because it’s just the right size for storing my tea tree oil blotting sheets.

Can we just take another moment to admire how sparkly this thing is? Oh how I love shiny things <3

The Fabulous Bag Hunter Rides Again – With Hello Kitty!

The other day I fell in love with this patent Hello Kitty embossed bag after seeing it in one of sccastaneda‘s videos and decided I must have it. I had previously seen it on sites like Baghause, Loungefly and Torrid.com but didn’t think it looked all that cute until I saw it in this video. I love Sonia’s blue version (it also comes in pink and red), but I decided to go with black because to me, there really is nothing more fabulous than a great black bag.

I love the way the embossing looks on this black patent material. And because the bag is black, the pink bow and Hello Kitty charm stand out even more. I love the size too – as someone who carries everything she owns in her bag, this is perfect because it fits A LOT of stuff. Though this retails for $72, I got it for $62 during the Baghouse back to school sale. Shipping was free too, so it was a pretty good deal.

Here’s a closeup of Hello Kitty and her giant bow. I think these really make the bag stand out and give it that extra girly touch. If you’re not into all the extra “pieces of flare” you can always take them off, but I love flair so I’m going to keep them =)

See, I told you this fits a lot of stuff! And the inside is so pretty too, I love that hot pink color. The fabric is also really sturdy, not the cheap fabric that will tear if you put to much stuff in your purse. And yes, that IS an Urban Decay Quincenaera bag I have there, ain’t it pretty!?

The bag also comes with this cute little dust cover, but I’ve been using it to store other stuff because it’s just too cute to put away.

I’m so excited about this bag I may even do a an updated what’s in my bag video just so I can show it off!!!
