MY FAVORITE SUMMER PALETTE! Aqualillies for Tarte Eye & Cheek Palette
I started my search for an amazing summer palette early this year, and found this stunning waterproof eye and cheek palette by Tarte Cosmetics. At $38, this gorgeous compact has everything you need to look stunning on a gorgeous summer day – six eyeshadows (matte and shimmer), bronzer, highlighter and blush. Best of all, these colors are all waterproof, sweatproof and heatproof! Watch my review now, then check out the color swatches below!

The first thing to catch my eye was this gorgeous packaging, that kind of reminds me of a mermaid tail. Even the box is too pretty to throw away!

The compact itself is sleek, well-organized and has a huge mirror, which I love because it’s something I can actually use to apply a full face of makeup.

I’m in love with the selection of colors, that features mattes, shimmering neutrals and just a few pops of summer color. I especially love the turquoise shade (poolside), which is super pigmented and looks lovely swept along the lower lashline.
The top picture in this series is the colors when they are freshly swatched, while the second picture shows the colors after being submerged in water. As you can see, they faded a tad but stayed remarkably well considering how much water I exposed them too. If after a long shower, hair washing and a hair treatment these colors still look great, they will surely hold up under the bright summer sun.

Ultra Fabulous Haul – Coach, Betsey Johnson, Roxy & More!
I’m tax refund rich, ya’ll!
Ok, maybe not “rich,” per-say, but doing well enough to buy a few fun little extras this month and still have enough for rent, bills and all my other less than awesome expenses. I originally planned on allowing myself just one indulgence – the gorgeous Coach bag seen in the video – but it somehow turned into a landslide of handbags and bling. I personally blame the people at DSW, Hautelook and Ulta for having so many irresistible sales on things I just can’t say no to. Did they really expect me to walk away from an ivory Betsey Johnson tote and not buy it? I’m only human, people!
Since I’m sure you’re all dying to get some of these items yourselves, I’ll post all the links and information you need below. And if anyone gives you any grief over your recent shopping indiscretions, just tell em’ Jackie made you do it. I’m more than willing to take the blame if it means the world will be a more fabulous place

Hello my darlings!
I know I’ve been absent for a bit, but this flu season has struck me with a vengeance so it’s been hard to keep up with my beauty blogging duties. NYX/MAC Haul
I’m putting together my next tutorial and needed a few things, so in the midst of my holiday shopping I swung by Ulta and the MAC store to gather a few supplies. Without revealing too much about the look I have planned next, I’ll just say I needed some lighter neutral colors with subtle sparkle.
I originally planned on getting most of what I needed at MAC, but found all these amazing eyeshadows and pigments from NYX. Best of all, everything was on sale, buy one get one 50% off. I’ve played around with the colors a bit since getting them home and honestly they’re so amazing I don’t think I could have found better, even at a higher price point.
The one thing I did pick up at the MAC store was a lipstick in Twig. I have plenty of neutral lipstick shades in my collection, but after seeing this on Pinterest a few days ago, I knew it had to be a part of my next look. For some reason the swatch looks a lot more pink than the color actually is – so for those of you scratching your heads, it’s got a lot more brown in it than you can see here.
I’m sure by now you’re all wondering what look I have up my bedazzled little sleeve – guess you’re gonna have to wait and see
Face of the Day/Night
After work I’ll be heading to the The Fox Theater for the Santigold concert, so I wanted to go for a slightly more dramatic look that’s wearable enough for work but dark enough for a nigh-time show.
I used my Spun Sugar palette by Too Faced to create a dark brown smokey eye and used lots of L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara to create the illusion of fake lashes since I didn’t feel like wearing any today. As for my lips, I lined and filled my lips in with NYX lipliner in Burgundy, then outlined that with Wet n’ Wild pencil eyeliner in Black to darken it up a bit. I topped that off with L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Persistent Plum and added just a touch of Stila Lipglaze in Raisin to the center of my bottom lip for shine. After that I just dusted my cheeks with a little bronzer and that’s it!
Hope you guys like the look! Now, off to the concert I go! If you’re interested to see how it went, I’ll be tweeting from the venue so follow me if you haven’t already,
Love ya!
