Review: Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre
I’m always on the lookout for new sparkle to add to my makeup drawer, so when MakeupGeek mentioned this product in her last video I knew I would be making a trip to Ulta real soon. Not quite a glitter and not quite a pigment, this shimmering “top coat” goes over eyeshadow to add a little more sparkle without altering the color too severely. And after playing with this all night and trying it out with different eyeshadows, I think I’ve found my favorite new product! Not that I’m surprised- though it’s been discontinued I’m still completely obsessed with Lorac’s Glam Rocks. These guys just really know their way around shiny eyeshadow!
Though it only comes in one color, this can be used over any eyeshadow, alone or even as a highlighter making this a really versatile addition to your makeup collection.
This shimmering white color is gorgeous when worn alone. But placed over other colors it adds nothing more than an iridescent glow that’s almost…angelic.
The only glitter I’ve ever seen in liquid form, it comes in a 0.17 fl oz bottle with a dropper making it easy to dispense. I place one drop onto my hand then pick it up using my finger or a flat shader brush for more precise, spot application.
This is a swatch of just one drop of product, which you can see is fairly sheer. For a more intense look, build upon that until you have reached your desired amount of sparkle.
I can’t wait to use this in a tutorial, and best believe my makeup oriented little brain is already thinking of looks I can incorporate the 3D Lustre into. If you’re into maximum sparkle like I am, get this product. It’s definitely worth the money!
Final Verdict: Love it!
Price: $16

These Are a Few of my Fav-o-rite Things!
Though I’m always on the prowl for fabulous new products, these MVPs have found a permanent place in my heart – as well as my make-up bag!
5. Lorac Glam Rocks loose metallic eye shadow:
This offers major shimmer, and because the shadow comes in the form of tiny beads, it’s easy to control how heavily it goes on.
Price: $16, but worth it considering I wear it nearly every day, have had the same pot for 5 months and still have over half my product left.
4. Duwop Lip Venom:It tingles, it plumps. It makes me look like someone punched me in the mouth – without actually getting punched in the mouth! What more can a girl ask for?
Price: $16
3. Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara:
This is hands down my favorite mascara. It lengthens, thickens and never ever clumps. Because it’s so rich, one coat is more than enough, but I generally go for two or three because it gives the appearance of fake lashes and I enjoy the extra drama.
Price: $19
2. Nars Blush in Oasis:
It’s pink, it’s sparkly, it’s so pretty it brings a tear to my eye. And it goes on sheer so I don’t look like the crazy old lady on the bus who wears way too much blush and carries 8 bags full of crap with her.
Price: $25
1. Benefit Playsticks Foundation:
This foundation is awesome. The coverage is great, but it’s not too heavy. It looks and feels natural, and the stick lasts me about 3 months. My color is Jumprope, a medium tan hue that that perfectly matches my not quite dark, not quite light olive complexion.
Price: $32
And there ya have it kids. Learn it. Know it. Live it.
