FOTN – St. Patrick’s Day!
I normally don’t go out on St. Patrick’s Day, but since a few good friends of mine were playing a show, I decided to make an exception so I could support their music, and maybe even get into some shenanigans. Not only was it a great time, but it also turned out to be a great opportunity to come up with a festive St. Patrick’s Day look, and I must say, this ain’t too shabby for a first try!
To get this look, I primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, then dabbed a light layer of NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Black Bean onto my lids. I then used Sugarpill Cosmetics pigment in Junebug on my lids, theBalm Sexpot pigment in If You’re Rich, I’m Single (a sheer, shimmering brown) in my crease and a matte, cream colored shadow from my 88 palette underneath the browbone.
I then dusted theBalm blush in Cabana Boy on my cheeks, and finished with NYX lipliner in Prune and MAC lipstick in Snob on my lips. Though this look is way different than what I normally wear, I really like it. Not to mention I got tons of compliments all night. It was also surprisingly long lasting – by the time I got home at 1am my eyeshadow was still completely intact!
I love this makeup so much I may just film a tutorial on it, even if the holiday is over. Emerald green is super hot this spring anyway, so why not!
Holiday Red Lips with Gold Flecks ♥
In the second installment of my holiday inspired series, I decided to do a sultry red lip with delicate gold flecks. I figure if there’s any time to wear red lips, it’s the holidays – plus the gold gives just the right amount of festive flare. Not to be confused with pieces of flare, or course. Although, when you consider how much bling I wear on a daily basis, I’m pretty much a giant, walking piece of flare.
In any case, check out the tutorial below to get these luscious holiday lips, then read on after the jump for a list of the products I used as well as some less expensive duplicates =)
Products Used:
Revlon Photoready Concealer (as a base)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Lipliner – Gash (Revlon Colorstay Lipliner in Red is a good, less expensive dupe for this one)
NYX Lipliner – Currant (Outline)
MAC Lipstick – Russian Red (L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick in Ravishing Red is also a great color and it costs half as much)
Philosophy Lipgloss - Candy Cane (any clear gloss will due, this just happens to be what I had on hand)
LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre (you can pretty much use any gold pigment, eye shadow or glitter as long as it’s cosmetic grade)
Holiday Tutorial – Snow Fairy!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmaaaaas….oooooOoooon my f*ckin faaaace! HA, that’s a good Christmas carol, I should record that.
But before I get started on my “A Very Jackie Christmas” cd, I decided to do a holiday tutorial for you guys. I look forward to the holidays every year, especially now that I’m a beauty guru as it gives me a chance to put together a series of festive looks for all your holiday parties. The first installment is the glittery, icy blue look I’ve decided to call Snow Fairy at the suggestion of my YouTube viewers. It’s super sparkly, super easy and affordable. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving!
You can always opt to wear this blue eye look without the glitter if you’re not a fan, but I feel like it really brings everything together and makes it look like freshly fallen snow on your eyelids. And it looks absolutely lovely when the light catches the tiny flecks of iridescent sparkle.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation – 160 Rich Ginger
LORAC Evening Out Complexion Kit – Tan
Cheeks:
LORAC TANtalize Baked Bronzer
Eyes:
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Pacific (lid)
NYX Color Chrome Pigment – Blue Eyes (lid)
Too Faced Glamor To Go Spun Sugar Palette – Dark Gray (Crease), Black (outer v)

Happy New Year!!!
It’s hard to believe today is the first day of 2012. I was just getting used to writing 2011 and just like that, it’s already over. Looking back though, I have to say that 2011 was really good to me. Despite a few minor bumps here and there, the year was pretty close to perfect. I have a great job doing things I only dreamed about in college, my website and YouTube channel are doing well and I’m surrounded by wonderful people who fill every day of my life with laughter.
I got to attend glamorous beauty industry parties, meet fascinating people and try the most amazing beauty products. I have a ton of subscribers, readers, fans and friends from all around the world. And I have it all because of YOU, my amazing blog and YouTube subscribers. None of these amazing things would be possible without the endless amounts of love I get from you all, and that’s what I am most grateful for. Thank you all for helping me make my dreams come true. There is still much work to be done and many more dreams to achieve, but it’s your support that keeps me going day in and day out.
I’m so excited to see what 2012 has in store, and I’m even more excited to have you all with me every step of the way. Thank you for everything, and may 2012 bring you all endless peace, love, happiness and more blessings than you can count ♥
With love and SO much appreciation,
Your Girl Jackie ♥
