Hello lovely readers!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Mine sure was – filled with quality family time, chocolate, sparkly goodies and…ham. It’s been a laid back and peaceful day, even as I sit here in my room blogging about it with Oh, What a Night by the Dells playing in the background. We started the day with opening up Easter baskets, a family tradition I’m glad has continued through the years even though the “kids” are all grown up.

Since I took over Easter basket duties years ago, I was in charge if making sure everyone had some festive goodies to wake up to.

I made a basket for my stepdad as well, though I kept the cuteness to a minimum since he’s a dude and not a 6 year-old girl. I decided to replace the cute Easter stuff with more chocolate since that’s something I think most dudes would appreciate.

Later on my baby sis Catherine and I went to take my brother his Easter basket and spend a little time with him. It was nice to see so many families out enjoying the lovely weather and visiting loved ones who have passed.

My mom had Easter goodies for Catherine and I as well, packaged in these super cute bags overflowing with tasty Easter candy goodness.

This was in the bags and I almost died laughing. Because only the holiest of chocolate will do on the holiest of holidays…halleluyuuuuuur! Hahaha

I got a laugh out of this as well. Could any chocolate bunny be more appropriate for someone like myself???

Oh, and of course I couldn’t leave you all without showing off my face of the day. I went with a glossy coral lip and light nuetral eyes. I wore a little turquoise cami under my top to brighten things up even more since it was such a nice day out.

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day. Not only is it the pinkest, girliest day of the year, but it’s also the day I get lots of girly presents from the people I love. Personally, I can’t think of a more perfect holiday! Here’s a quick peek at the pretty little things that made me oh so happy this year:

My mama gave me these super cute yoga pants with a sequin strip running down either side. They’re so pretty I’m almost afraid to wear them out cuz I don’t wanna mess them up!

And she gave me these gorgeous sterling silver earrings. I just love them, they’re so girly and delicate…

I got this gorgeous Hello Kitty necklace from a special boy. I would say he did some nice work here considering there’s is no faster way to my heart then some blinged out Hello Kitty jewelry!

As per usual I had some temporary love life fail (such is my life) so my boy bff Tony brought me these to cheer me up. Instead of getting a pre-made bouquet, he hand selected all the flowers himself and put them in a water bottle. I just love floral arrangements with character! And yes, that IS in fact a cowbell in the background. Because you really DO always need more.

So clearly I’m a happy little princess ♡ How did you guys do this year?

For my first Valentine’s Day look I decided to go with pinks and purples as opposed to the usual reds since I wanted something soft and romantic. I love this because it’s easy and doesn’t take a lot of time to create; especially considering Valentine’s Day is on a weekday this year so us ladies won’t have all day to get ready. If you want you could probably even get away with this look for daytime, maybe just leave out the pigment until it’s time to go out. New Years 2010 is upon us and I can’t think of a better way to welcome 2011 then hot pink lips and lots of gold glitter. It’s a little known secret that I loooooove me some candy canes. Most people are kind of indifferent towards them, thinking of them as nothing more than the part of their stocking they throw away. But no, not to me. For I am a die hard fan of peppermint and candy canes are made from peppermint. So naturally I had to dedicate an entire tutorial to my favorite minty holiday treat.
