Much to my delight, I’ve recently been flooded with messages from loyal readers who miss Flashback Friday and Old School Music Monday. And so, because you all asked for it…they’re baaaaaaack! You BeautyChaotic newbies may or may not know that I am a music fanatic, particularly that of the Old School variety. And back in the early days of this site, I looked for any old excuse to share my favorite tracks with my readers. And so, it is my pleasure to give you the resurgence of Flashback Friday!

This song is a longtime favorite and puts me in a good mood the second I hear it. I heard it on the radio this afternoon as I typed busily at my desk and it got me through those last painful hours of work that stood between me and the weekend. And with that I ask you, be my…Saturday Love???

It’s ok, I’m doing it too…Never on Sunday, Monday too soon, Tuesday and Wednesday just won’t do…Thursday and Friday the weekend begins but a Saturday loooove will neva eeeeend SUGA!!!! Good Lord I love that song so much ♥

Today marks what would have been my parents 33rd wedding anniversary, and this was thier song. It brings back some beautiful memories of when we were all soooooo happy. You are so missed daddy <3

I’ve been saving this one especially for this week since tomorrow is the first day of September. This song/day always means alot to me since August is always such a tough month. My dad had his accident August 9th of 2002, and died on the 30th so this has always been a horrible time for me. But the first day of September always marks a new beginning, hence why this song means so much to me. Not to mention it’s one of the best songs of all time, by one of the best bands of all time.


It also means that Fall, my favorite season is just on the horizon! I can can almost smell the dried leaves now…

Not only is this one of the best sexy time songs ever, but the video freakin rules. I mean, it has everything you could ever ask for. A saucy LA nightclub, dancing girls with 90′s layered hair, a cameo from Holly Robinson before she was Robinson Pete! And don’t even get me started on how Babyface does the lambada with practically every girl in the club. Shit, his hair alone is reason enough to watch all 6 minutes and 19 seconds of this cinematic masterpiece.

This song holds a special place in my heart becuase when I was in 8th grade this was THE song to skate to! Gosh I remember it like it was yesterday, my bff Kathy’s mom would drive us all to a little place us Pittsburg folk know as Marina Skate and us girls would straight take OVER ya hurd!!! Damn I miss the good old days
